Heaven can wait 5k

I ran this 5k today for my grandma, she has survived from breast cancer and colon cancer.  She is the most amazing, strong and loving person I know.  This was my first race and I choose it because it was supporting a cause so near to heart.  I have been running a lot and had set a goal of 33 min for the 3.1 mile race.  I started out to fast and just felt like I had made a mistake and felt really tired, I actually didn't think I was even going to make my goal.  I just kept thinking of my granny goose and how strong she was (and is) through the tuff times during her battle with cancer and that just made me push myself even harder.  Well I ended the race with a time of 29min 36 sec and I was amazed!!  I can't wait to go see my goose on Tuesday and tell her all about it!  Thanks to my amazing hubby who supported me the whole time and new I could do it and also to my sister for the awsome motivation she gives me everyday!
